Public art is kind of a funny term. Art (most of it anyway) is meant for the public, but unfortunately, it is too often inaccessible and intimidating. That is why I am passionate about public art as its entire purpose is to be seen, used and fully experienced by and for people. I have 15 years of experience in planning, managing and executing temporary and permanent art projects from initial planning stages through completion for public, private and commercial clients. By supporting and fostering dynamic placemaking projects that draw people into the world of art, I hope to eliminate the ego surrounding art and get people excited and engaged with the art that is all around them!
If that excites you too, let’s talk about it.
I earned my Master’s in Contemporary Art from Sotheby’s Institute in London with a focus on community activation in public art practices. Prior to that, I received my Bachelor of Arts in International Communications from Texas Christian University.
